For businesses in the UAE
Custom software development for UAE businesses, built by our team in India
We build web and mobile apps, AI agents, WhatsApp automations and the billing and ERP changes UAE e-invoicing needs. Our development team is in India, 1.5 hours ahead of the UAE, and we work with you remotely.
In short: Coded Idea offers custom software development to UAE businesses from our development team in India. We build web applications and portals, mobile apps, AI agents and automations, and WhatsApp Business Platform agents. We also change billing systems, ERPs and ordering portals so they meet the UAE's e-invoicing rules and connect to the Accredited Service Provider you choose. We have no UAE office and no UAE licence, and we are not an e-invoicing ASP. You deal directly with the people who build your system.
Who we help in the UAE
We work with businesses whose work runs on email, spreadsheets, WhatsApp threads and an old billing system that nobody wants to touch. Typical starting points:
- Distributors and wholesalers taking orders by phone, email and WhatsApp, who want customers to order online at their own prices.
- Finance teams facing e-invoicing whose invoices come out of a custom, in-house or portal-based system that no off-the-shelf connector supports.
- Service businesses that want an AI agent or automation to take routine admin off staff, with a person approving anything that touches money.
- Companies with an app or portal idea that need a team to build it and keep it running.
Coded Idea was founded in 2020 by Abhishek Rana, and our development team, based in India, has delivered more than 500 projects. We take on any kind of web, app, AI or software project. The system you can see running every day is a trade portal covering sales and warehousing, used by a UK wholesaler.

What's different about building for the UAE
E-invoicing: we connect your system to your ASP
The UAE is moving business-to-business and business-to-government invoicing onto the Peppol network. Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027; everyone else appoints by 31 March 2027 and goes live on 1 July 2027. It applies whether or not you're VAT-registered, and consumer sales are out of scope. The Ministry of Finance publishes the rules and the list of accredited providers.
The ASP carries invoices and reports to the FTA. Your own system still has to produce every mandatory field, correctly, and handle rejections. That's the part we build: data mapping, master-data fixes and the API link to the ASP you pick. Our e-invoicing integration guide covers the dates, the 51 fields and the questions to ask an ASP.
VAT tax invoices
Until e-invoicing applies to you, UAE VAT rules still decide what an invoice must show: 12 particulars on a full tax invoice, five on a simplified one, amounts in AED, and credit notes within 14 days of the event. Once you're on e-invoicing, simplified invoices stop for business customers. See our guide to UAE tax invoice requirements.
Personal data: the PDPL
The UAE's Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) has been in force since 2 January 2022, and it covers processors outside the UAE who handle UAE residents' data, which includes an offshore team like ours. As of September 2026 we could find no published executive regulations. Once they're issued, businesses get a six-month window to comply, which can be extended. Companies in DIFC and ADGM follow their own data protection laws instead. The government's data protection overview has the details.
In practice, when a project involves UAE personal data, we can sign a data processing agreement with protections of the kind the law expects, limit live-data access to the people who need it, test with anonymised data, and host on major cloud providers in the region you choose. Health and banking data have their own rules; your legal adviser should confirm what applies to you.
WhatsApp: messaging yes, calls no
WhatsApp messaging, voice notes and files work in the UAE, and Meta prices its WhatsApp Business Platform for the UAE as its own market, billed in AED. WhatsApp voice and video calls don't work there: the TDRA treats internet calling as a telecom service that only licensed or approved apps may offer. So the WhatsApp agents we build for UAE businesses work by text and voice note, and send customers to a phone line or an approved app when they need to talk. Marketing messages go only to customers who opted in.
How we work with UAE clients remotely
India Standard Time is UTC+5:30 and UAE time is UTC+4, and neither changes its clocks. India is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead all year, so a 10am meeting in Dubai is 11:30am for us.
- A 20-minute call. You show us the process, invoice run or app idea. We ask questions.
- A fixed quote. A written scope and one price before any work starts.
- Build in short stages. You see and test working software as it's built.
- Go live and support. We train your team, stay close through the first weeks and keep supporting the system after launch.
Everything is set up in your company's name: code repository, cloud hosting, app store accounts and API keys. You own the code and the data.
What we don't do
We don't have a UAE office, a UAE trade licence or UAE-based staff, and we won't pretend otherwise. We aren't an Accredited Service Provider, a tax adviser or a law firm. If you need an ASP, choose one from the Ministry of Finance's list; if you need tax or legal advice, use a UAE adviser. We build the software that sits alongside them.
